Grass-roots revolt

1 Some people are smiling all the way to their new portfolio assignments this morning. Laughing at the losers as, they claim, they were outspent and got little traction within the elements of the media, and what happened was a grass-roots revolt against entrenched interests against the small man.

No room!

2 Some are saying it was not enough for the leader to win, but a proper thrashing of the contender was needed to silence him and his corps of supporters. Now that he has been soundly beaten, some from the winning team want their heads, as they claim there should be no place in the newly configured party for those who are so opposed to the reinstated one!

You can't 'dis' the leader

3 Analysts in part attribute the whipping of the challengers to the fact that their message was not credible, and was based more on personal ambition and disrespect for the leader than altruism.

Where's the plan?

4 Meanwhile, inside the Government, more and more voices are being raised questioning the status quo, as more and more insiders are asking: where is the master plan? Some are even saying the absence of a plan or some clear directional signal is the Opposition leader's greatest asset. Some are even saying: "I told you so."

Should the ministry relocate?

5 Suggestions are that the ministry be moved to the Norman Manley International Airport, or that the minister set up a base there, camera crew and all.

Far goes the fallout

6 The fallout is also being felt in far away places like London, New York and Los Angeles. According to those in the know, some families have had to withdraw their children from some fancy private schools in London, the Big Apple and California, as the money is no longer rolling in.

Missing representative

7 The residents say when he was a part of the Opposition they understood why the roads were in the state they were in. Now that their representative is a senior member of the Government, they can't even reach him to get the roads fixed. They recently pooled resources and called in a contractor to cement-up the foot-deep craters they have to traverse. As for the representative, his name is now akin to a 'badword'.

Reputation renewed

8 The one with the sullied reputation is getting a new reputation for being the only one who can get anything done. While this has endeared him to those fighting bureaucracy, it has not endeared him to his colleagues or seniors.

Overruled!

9 One-third of One Third was not at all happy with the notion of paying out money to the competition, but was overruled.

Cops clueless

10 In life, they lived in the closet, but a recent spate of murders seems to be threatening to 'out' a number of 'queens' in their deaths. Meanwhile, the police remain clueless.
