The Editor, Sir: It was with some level of discomfort and disappointment that I read the article captioned 'Questions about God and human existence' as published in the Wednesday Gleaner (September 24).
Waiting for study of JPS charges
The Editor, Sir: Like most Jamaicans there is no love lost on the JPS and I look forward to the analysis of its charges that the PM has ordered the OUR to conduct. But I have been puzzled by what looks to me like a strange tale of two companies being urged on in a public cass-cass by a minister common to both.
American collapse is no surprise
The Editor, Sir: The collapse of the American economy should surprise no one. When the fundamentals are wrong, it is only a matter of time that reality will step in and put an end to the mirage created by 'paper wealth'.
Petrojam and pricing policy
The Editor, Sir: What is the purpose of having an oil refinery in the country if there is no benefit to be gained from its existence. OK, it provides jobs for the population, but at what cost?
Noteworthy
It's almost 2009 and we in Jamaica are still experiencing real hardship under the hands of our only real electricity provider, JPS. This absence of competition I believe is the real reason for this ever increasing customer abuse.
