Ladies, you have voted and the most eligible bachelor for 2008 is Christopher Lawe!

Surprised is the word to describe Christopher Lawe when he found out that he was selected as this year's number-one bachelor. He said he only participated because he thought it was a fun idea, he said he didn't see it coming. "I certainly did not expect it because of the competition from the other guys, I suppose," he said, chuckling.

Wolmer's past student

A past student of Wolmer's Boys' School, St George's College and the University of Technology, Christopher is the unit manager designate at Sagicor Life Jamaica. He is also a qualified pilot, and is currently studying to become a chartered financial consultant.

It seems like quite a busy life but, still, he manages to keep a balance among work, study and his social life.

"People tend to be surprised by how well I separate my social life from my jacket and tie. When I am not at work, I like going to the country, the movies and just going to social gatherings."

Family is very important

The second child of three, this 6' 6'' tall bachelor notes that family is very important to him.

"I love my family. I consider them to be the most important thing in my life and then, next in line, are my friends."

Celebrating his 28th birthday today, Christopher says he is now at a stage in his life where the thought of marriage does not sound too far fetched; he is just waiting on that missing piece.

"I am all for marriage and believe that I am at that stage, professionally, and in life. I'm now just waiting for the lead lady."

More from Christopher below:

What is your view on love - do you believe in love at first sight or is it a work-in-progress?

Love is a work in progress. It's a committed investment of oneself; anything else, you give a little, hope for a lot and lose all ... Cash Plus.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5-10 years?

I have no idea. Hopefully on the beach with a margarita.

What was the last CD you bought or listened to?
