Caymanas Track Limited (CTL) has hailed the achievement of the Andrew Azar owned three-year-old filly PRIDE 'N' GLORY in winning the recent Trinidad Derby and also recognised the unprecedented feat of Jamaican-bred horses sweeping the first three places.

Bred by Azar's Sun Valley Farms in St Catherine, PRIDE 'N' GLORY led home DONUT KING and JOSIE WALES for a notable Jamaican sweep at Santa Rosa Park. She was trained in Trinidad by Glenn Mendez.

"On behalf of Caymanas Track Limited, let me congratulate owner/breeder Azar in making the bold move in taking Pride 'N' Glory to Trinidad for the Royal Oak Derby", said racing secretary, Denzil Miller Jr

"He has realised every owner's dream of winning a Derby ... The fact that we were able to sweep the first three places speak volumes for our breeding industry and from all indications, we are poised to benefit from the renewed interest of buyers from the Eastern Caribbean at our annual thoroughbred yearling sale on November 9, at Caymanas Park", added Miller.
