Breadbasket parish continues to produce success
For long, St Elizabeth has been recognised as the breadbasket parish of Jamaica, contributing in excess of 20 per cent of Jamaica's food stock. The township is also home to Fitzroy Honeyghan, one of the parish's successful farmers.

Renewable energy bids fall short

The Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) has rejected four of seven bids to build renewable energy systems here, and says the remaining three fall short of the 65 megawatts of additional generating capacity that Jamaica is seeking to power homes and businesses.

Claro Jamaica open for business

The transformation of MiPhone's network to 3G technology is a US$300-million investment for America Movil, the company said yesterday as it rolled out the company's new brand, Claro.
