Letting the cat out of the bag
Sexy: Maintaining a level of mystery. Give the person something to wonder about.
Creepy: Divulging your life story. Share information moderately - as trust grows, so should your comfort in gradually giving details. Learn to keep some things to yourself.
One time to make first impression
Sexy: Giving subtle praise about the way the person dresses. For example, 'That's a nice outfit!' or 'Wow, you really know how to colour-coordinate!'
Creepy: Being overly critical of the person, for example, 'How yuh bottom so big!' There is no need for you to be so raucous.
Dressed to impressSexy: Dressing casual and cool. Even though you're not on the hunting spree, pulling out all the stops to look attractive is a definite plus.
Creepy: Resembling a caveman. When you are out, you will never know who you'll meet, so make sure you look like even a distant relative of the human race. You don't have to have a million bucks to look like a million bucks.
Location, location, location
Sexy: Meeting someone at a venue where there is some activity to stimulate both your interests. Jamaica's National Gallery in downtown Kingston or Serenity Park in Bush Park, St Catherine, are great spots for art and nature lovers, respectively.
Creepy: Meeting someone at a sleazy nightclub often leads down a one-way street: Lots of sweat, a one-night stand and a helluva hangover.
Caution is the watchword
Sexy: Not revealing your home address. The person you meet has no reason to know where you live.
Creepy: Giving up the goods on your workplace, what time you get home from work, the PIN code to your bank account and things like that. You don't know this person so you have to be careful.
