Boxing 'war of words'
The war of words has begun ahead of the big middleweight boxing clash between Lloyd 'Punisher' Smith and Patrick 'Cutlass' Miller on October 25 at the Moneague College campus in St Ann.
Miller has responded to statements made by trainer Andrew Boland about the readiness of his fighter.
Boland in an interview said, "Lloyd is ready, the 'Punisher' is ready, his training schedule is right on track and we can't wait to get to Moneague.
"It is about conditioning and we are very well conditioned right now, Miller look out we are coming."
Miller is, however, not stirred and is reminding Boland and Smith that he is a former Caribbean and national champion
"I'd just say to that trainer and his fighter that they know I'm a one-time Caribbean champion and a three-time national champion.
"I heard them saying things about their fighter that he is fit, but what do they know about me, the more they talk the angrier I get, so let them keep talking,"he said.
The undercard will feature the sixth event in the Burger King Amateur boxing series and will see former world top-10 rated heavyweight contender Donovan 'Razor' Ruddock as a special guest at ringside.
Ruddock boasts two epic battles against Mike Tyson and retired as the Canadian heavyweight champion.
