KINGSTON COLLEGE (KC) took over from St. Andrew Technical (STATHS) as leaders of a tightly-contested Group F, following a 1-0 win in their ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel Manning Cup clash at Cloverly Park yesterday.
The win put KC, who avenged a loss to STATHS earlier this season, at the top of the group with 24 points and with one game remaining and in excellent position to secure their place in the Walker Cup.
KC and STATHS, who qualified for the second round before yesterday's game, will now close out the first round against Penwood and St Catherine, respectively.
In a closely-contested game, Kingston College got the break-through they were looking for in the 54th minute when McKaulay Tulloch converted from the penalty spot after Noel Mais was brought down in the area.
The goal was the 15th of the season for Tulloch, who is currently second behind St George's Kemal Malcolm. In the group's other game, Edith Dalton James defeated St Catherine 5-2.
Over in Group C, Wolmer's moved into the top spot following a 10-0 win over Denham Town, as defending champions Jamaica College were held to a 1-1 draw by Vauxhall at Old Hope Road, St Andrew..
