Wrong way, officers!
published: Monday | October 27, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

Ordinary citizens are asked to report suspicious activities. Okay, that I can deal with, but how do we deal with repercussions?

Case in point: My mother reported suspicious activities that she saw on our street. Three days after, the officers came and went to the premises and informed them that the "lady that drive the red Suzuki Swift over # 15, report that things going on over here".

Threats

My mother has since been threatened by the same persons she saw doing illegal activities.

Now, no one on my street is willing to come forward.

Officers need to be trained to be more professional, then you will see an outpouring of assistance from the public.

I am, etc,

CONCERNED DAUGHTER
