Pitterson, Bidwell-Wallen steer Bullets into final
published: Tuesday | October 28, 2008

Pitterson

Two big performances by Oberon Pitterson and Latoya Bidwell-Wallen steered former champs Waulgrovian Bullets into the final of the JABA Women's Basketball League.

Waulgrovian defeated Metro Belles 74-42 in Sunday's semi-final at the National Stadium. The final is set for Saturday at 6p.m.

Pitterson, a former national player, poured in a game-high 28 points and added 10 rebounds, seven steals and five assists, while Bidwell-Allen chipped in with 26 points and five steals.

However, for the final Waulgrovian may want to work on sharing scoring duties as only three other players scored and they accounted for only 20 points combined.

Anna-Kay Morris and Andrea Williams led Metro Belles with 11 points and seven rebounds each, but the latter hurt her team with nine turnovers.

In the final, Waulgrovian Bullets will face Braves Smilers, who clobbered JABA Strikers 71-33 on Saturday.
