Newby asked to serve third term as G2K head
published: Monday | November 3, 2008

SENATOR Warren Newby has been asked to serve a third term as president of Generation 2000 (G2K), the young professional affiliate of the governing Jamaica Labour Party.

Newby, the parliamentary secretary in the Ministry of Information, Culture, Youth and Sports, was returned unopposed at yesterday's G2K annual general meeting at Belmont Road, Kingston.

There will be two new faces on Newby's executive. Zavia Mayne and Robert Collie were elected as vice-presidents. They join Amoy Bernard and Delano Seiveright who were re-elected.

Former vice-president Robert Miller was rejected.

The Newby executive is completed by general secretary Collin Virgo.
