published: Tuesday | November 4, 2008

Balfour

WESTERN BUREAU:

Well-known Montego Bay-based journalist and public relations consultant Byron Balfour died at the Cornwall Regional Hospital early yesterday morning. He was 64 years old.

Balfour had been battling dia-betes for many years, but died from liver failure, his daughter An-drea Balfour told The Gleaner yesterday afternoon.

"My father was a true journalist by heart and in practice, even on his deathbed," said Andrea.

She told The Gleaner her father became ill last Sunday and had been admitted to hospital.
