World coming full circle
published: Friday | November 7, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

How wonderful it was to watch the recent American presidential election and to see a man of colour being chosen. The world has come full circle. It took time to prove God's words advising that all are equal in His sight.

Now hopefully the world can move on to trying to solve the problems brought on by the cowboy always loving action to a time of peace as envisaged by Albert Schweitzer who laboured for years trying to make us acknowledge that we are indeed our 'brothers' keepers'

Once again the United States citizens have proven to the world that they are a caring people and that the majority of them abhor war and the killing of innocent people. I sincerely hope that the new president will find a way to bring peace in our time. If he is able to achieve this feat then it will go a far way for the world to return to its original love of the peoples of the United States of America..

I am, etc.,
