Wins for Norman Manley and Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT AND Norman Manley scored important victories in yesterday's quarter-final round of the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel schoolboy Manning Cup.

In the Constant Spring doubleheader played in heavy rain and muddy conditions, Bridgeport, in the opening game, defeated Wolmer's 3-1, while Norman Manley outscored Kingston College (KC) 4-3.

Following yesterday's results, all the teams except KC are in with a chance of making it to the semi-final round. In Friday's final round, leaders Bridgeport, on four points, will face Norman Manley. A win for Bridgeport would put them into the semi-finals.

Wins for Norman Manley and Wolmer's, who will play KC (one point), would see both teams move to six points and goal-difference would be called into play.

In the first game, Adoah Nickle (33rd), Andre Steele (71st) and Janiel Hardware (82nd) scored for Bridgeport. Ashani Fairclough, the son of KC's coach, Wayne, scored the consolation goal for the Heroes' Circle team.

In the day's feature game, Yanique Morgan, Orane Murphy, Devar Peddler and Kemar Joseph scored for Norman Manley. Mario Martin netted a double and McKauley Tulloch also found the back of the net for KC.
