LETTER OF THE DAY - Blueprint to change the national fabric
The Editor, Sir: I am always amused by the level of hypocrisy that emanates from the leaders of this nation, our policymakers; our politicians.A few weeks ago, out of panic, our political leaders...

When guns are tools for protection

The Editor, Sir:I read a letter by J. Walker in Thursday's edition of The Gleaner where he (or she?) encouraged people to fight gunmen without guns. Instead, we were encouraged to stand united against them. To fight and die unarmed.

State of emergency should be called

The Editor, Sir: It has been quite distressing and shocking to see the residents of Gravel Heights in St Catherine being unceremoniously ousted from their homes and community by thugs.

Facing the harsh political realities

The Editor, Sir: Congratulations to Dr Jephthah Ford on his very impressive Letter of the Day in The Gleaner of December 10, captioned 'Reality of the Gravel Heights Exodus, in which he told it like it is and called a spade a spade!

Finding hope in Gravel Hill

The Editor, Sir: We invite the member of parliament for East Central St Catherine to visit the Gravel Hill community and speak with the residents and set up programmes to empower the community.
