The remaining quarter-finalist in the Jamaica Netball Association (JNA)/Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) Open League competition will be decided today when Speg 'B' oppose Blades United 'A' at the Leila Robinson Courts starting 3:40 p.m.

Also at the same time, Ravens 'B' await Jamaica Defence Force, Police 'C' battle Duhaney Park Strikers 'B' and Hagley Park 'B' will take aim at Molynes United 'A'.

Dangerous team

Blades United and Speg 'B' are tied atop Zone Six with 18 points, three ahead of Molynes United and Ravens 'B'. The runners-up in the group will contest in the consolation knockout competition.

"We won't be taking them lightly because I know that they are a very dangerous team," said Rohan Byfield, coach of Blades United. "I am confident, but my team is not playing well consistently ... because they are very talented but not focused."

His opposite number, Speg 'B' coach Arlene Findlay, never sounded overly confident about her team's chances either.

She said: "We have a very young and inexperienced team because most of these girls are schoolgirls. But we are going out there to put on a good showing."

Findlay added that Blades United is at a much higher level than they are because they were once playing in the Super League and now they are in Senior 'A' League, compared her team which plays in the Junior League.

"We have been playing with a lot energy, enthusiasm and good team spirit and that's the reason why we have been doing so well in this competition," said Findlay.
