The annual CB Pan Chicken Festival is now in full gear. And on Sunday hundreds converged on the grounds of the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre to taste and smell the aromas at the eastern region cook-off.

EXTRAS

Obama sightings continue; actress Valerie Bertinelli is svelte and sexy at the Kentucky Derby; a baby diaper is changed in the 'people's house' and Something Extra rubs shoulders with noted Harvard law professor and lover of Jamaica, Charles Nesson, and his wife.

TUESDAYTALK -

HOT TOPICS ON THE COCKTAIL CIRCUIT AND MORE ...

Mystery investor

1. The spotlight is shining on the mystery investor in the New Kingston property and some are suggesting there may be al qaeda connections because there are reports of strong linkages to the Middle East. A showdown seems inevitable.

Standing by her man

2. So she has decided to stand by her man in his hour of need ... again. Friends who have watched her struggles over the years begged her to stay away and delve into her work, needless to say they were quite taken aback to see images of the couple walking in step for all the world to see. How much humiliation can one woman take?

No celebration

3. It is certainly not the result that they had hoped for. The mother, more than anyone else, came prepared to laud over all and sundry. She started her preening from early and was heard predicting victory. However, when it all died down, there really was no reason for celebration, instead there was need for consolation.

Rumours, backbiting

4. One down - who's next? It was predicted long ago that there could never be harmony over at the agency where the women were jostling for attention and position. Vicious rumours, news- carrying and backbiting have claimed one victim and there are dire predictions about what will happen next. From all indications it will not be over until the Fat Lady sings.

Back at work!

5. You know that times are hard when housewives who were accustomed to being pampered are now pounding the pavement in search of jobs. The court-ordered allowance is clearly not enough for Miss Thing so she is back at work. The women in the department who know of her ways say they are keeping their husbands close.
