Megaports stakeholders briefing

Through the Megaports Initiative, the Port Authority of Jamaica, Jamaica Customs and Kingston Wharves Limited (KWL) are working with the international community to prevent the illicit movement of radioactive materials through the global maritime system. As part of this effort, radiation detection equipment is being installed at the KWL terminal in cooperation with the US Department of Energy's (DOE) Megaports Initiative.
Stakeholders briefing
A Port Stakeholders briefing will be held on June 4 from 3-4:30 p.m. at the ground floor of the Marine Pilot's building, Newport East, (beside Customs House) which will include an overview of the Megaports Initiative, information on the installed equipment, and address any questions or concerns you may have. User groups that would benefit from the presentation include truckers' associations, shipping agents, customs brokers, stevedores, etc. All are welcome to attend.
