Due diligence
1. Some are complaining that too many individuals and/or companies are allowed to perpetrate fraud on unsuspecting members of the public because some in the media do not do their due diligence before they promote some of the spurious claims.
Eviction role
2. Some are asking if the solid waste truck and staffers were there to help with the eviction. And if so, in what capacity. If not, they want an explanation for their presence.
Cat-and-mouse game
3. A replacement has been identified for the unpleasant one, causing some to expect a return to civilised behaviour from the once-cherished address, as soon as the current occupant returns from whence he came. The only problem is, he is busy playing the cat-and-mouse game with his departure date.
Lunch money
4. The returning residents on a visit to the north coast recently were so appalled at being asked to pay US$12 for a box lunch, in a cookshop. They want the tourism ministry to step in and regulate, as they say the same lunch would cost less than, or just about, US$3 in Kingston.
New deal
5. The fat cat is all set to get fatter, as the ink is now dry on the deal! Some say it's a peace offering for the demotion he suffered earlier!
Impending demise
6. The one-time friends and benefactors are now the ones going around spreading the word of the impending demise of the empire. Seems like there was some bad blood that has not healed, and so the former protégés are now actively promoting the notion of his decline!
Gunboat tussle
7. They say it's a case of the kettle cussing the pot, as when the reports of gunfire on the high seas first surfaced, reports at the time also complained bitterly of the behaviour of some on the 'Gunboat'. Those in the waters were highly offended when some onboard, clearly without a care for the environment or swimmers, threw their garbage into the pristine waters.
