There is a new addition to the New Kingston hotel scene: it's the Spanish Court Hotel and the doors were officially opened on Sunday. Check out our Outlook magazine on Sunday for details of that plus the high points of Caribbean Fashionweek.
Pretty Nicole Haughton is the new addition to tourism director John Lynch's office. She was also at the hotel opening.
Racquel Brown chose to go white for Caribbean Fashionweek's staging and she certainly wore it well.

Lights, camera, fashion!
Kite furore
1. Many savvy observers around town are convinced that pillow talk was a major stake for the kite-flying expedition which caused such furore recently. What makes it even more interesting is the idea that someone may have deliberately misled the stake. Some day soon it will all be revealed.
All in shock
2. There was no way of ignoring the gasps from the foreign audience when they were told that the high-level official could not make the event because he had to be at the bedside. Some openly criticised the messenger.
'Trama' or 'trauma'?
3. The medics had a busy time recently discussing the effects of 'trauma' on the nation's health. But their banner provided the moot for a robust debate about whether 'trama' bears any relationship to 'trauma'.
Money, money, money, money!
4. Have you noticed a smile on your neighbour's face lately? You may never guess who put it there. We understand that the dollars have begun to roll again and dividends are being paid out ... quietly.
What kind of loyalty
5. Some mobile customers are asking about the definition of loyalty. They argue that people whose bills amount to thousands of dollars each month are never rewarded for their loyalty. However, persons who buy measly amounts of credit like $100 here and $200 there are being lauded for their loyalty. Something is surely wrong with that definition.
