On Sunday, six women got the opportunity to prepare Father's Day lunch for their fathers and husbands in Blackie's kitchen, Little Ochie, St Elizabeth.

Proprietor of the south coast's popular, 20-year-old establishment, Evrol 'Blackie' Christian, placed an advertisement in The Sunday Gleaner dated June 7, inviting a total of six women to contact him to prepare any seafood dish for their husbands or fathers. The first response came from Tracy Ann Patterson-Wisdom of Mountain View Avenue in Kingston, and, true to form, she was the first on the scene. She prepared steamed parrot, served with steamed bammies, festival and vegetables.
