Spencer, in April, teamed up with Stephanie McPherson, Christine Day and Anneisha Mclaughlin, carried University of Technology to the Championships of America College 4x400m relay title at the Penn relays. She established herself as a top-class hurdler when she won the World Junior title in Beijing. The following year, she made it to the semi-finals of the World Championships.
