Lannaman's, Vaz final

Lannaman's and Vaz will meet in today's Bigga-sponsored Prep Schools Alberga Cup final at Mona Bowl.

In the final set to kick off at 2:30 p.m., Lannaman's will be seeking to defend their title against Vaz, the team of this season.

Wolmer's and Hydel, last year's beaten finalist, will contest the third-place play-off at 1 p.m. The presentation of prizes will be done after the final.

On Saturday, both teams secured hard-fought wins over Hydel and Wolmer's, respectively.

An own goal enabled Vaz to knock out Wolmer's by a 2-1 scoreline Daniel Eyo gave Wolmer's the lead, but when his teammate headed back a ball to his goalkeeper, who failed to collect as the ball spilled into the goal inside the last three minutes, Wolmer's bid for title honours ended in disaster. Paul Young was the other goalscorer for Vaz.

In the other semi-final, Rivaldo English scored the all-important goal in Lannaman's 1-0 victory over Hydel.

Bollinger reprimanded

ADELAIDE, Australia (CMC):

Australian pacer Doug Bollinger has received an official reprimand for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the fourth day's play in the second cricket Test against the West Indies at the Adelaide Oval.

Bollinger was charged with a Level 1 offence, which relates to "showing dissent at an umpire's decision".

Sanctions included in Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct can range from an official reprimand up to 50 per cent of the player's match fee.

Visibly angry and defiant, Bollinger kicked the pitch following the denial of an lbw appeal against Brendan Nash in the 52nd over of the West Indies second innings.
