Jamaica's Under-20 female footballers ended their campaign at the CONCACAF Under-20 World Cup qualifiers on a losing note, going down 0-1 to Trinidad and Tobago in their final preliminary game in Guatemala yesterday.

The junior Reggae Girlz ended Group B without a point, after losing 0-6 to the United States and 0-2 to Mexico to concede nine goals in the tournament, and failing to score.

Candace Seaton scored the winning goal for the Trinidadians in the 65th minute, as they ended their campaign on three points.

Jamaica's coach, Vin Blaine, said: "Today's (Monday's) game was a game of two halves because in the first half, we pressured Trinidad and we missed a few chances, which was a bit unfortunate.

"However, we came out very flat in the second half and we conceded a soft goal. But we created a few chances and I think our finishing let us down."

Blaine added: "The tournament was an extremely poor one for us. I was also disappointed with the way some of the players responded in the games."
