Intersection, The University of Technology, Jamaica's hot social, was a great kick-off to 2010.

With excellent disc jocks such as Kurt Riley and ZJ Elektra, scrumptious finger food and a comfortable and creatively decorated setting, patrons were sure to enjoy the event.

Held two Fridays ago, the action got going about 9:30 p.m. with a steady vibe - once you managed to squeeze through the air-tight security detail. (The price of peace, perhaps.)

The bar - like most party watering holes - was definitely a crowd favourite, with excellent lighting and organisation, topped off with entertaining drink-mixing acrobatics by the bartenders.

Despite the vibrantly lit dance floor, few patrons shook a leg, preferring to socialise with peers. However, as the evening drew to a close, more patrons lost their shyness and started to dance the night away.

With the same sponsorship backing and organisation, even better can be expected at next year's edition. Check out the ratings, though, as the promoters have a few things to improve on.
