Ardenne High completed the double over St George's College in the ISSA/KFC Southern Conference basketball competition on Friday at the National Stadium.

A 55-51 victory in Game three of the finals gave Ardenne the Under-16 crown five days after winning the Under-19 title at the same venue.

Josef Thomas led the way for Ardenne with a game-high 21 points and six steals.

Basil Barrett, coach of Ardenne, said he was delighted with his team's success this season. "We played with a lot of heart and and determination and we gave it everything, and that really helped us to win this one, and I am very happy for the boys," said Barrett.

"What makes this special is that we are the only school to have won the double since 2000, and this is a big achievement for us because we are down in history now," said Barrett with a huge smile on his face.

Jved Habib Habib ended with 11 points and 10 rebounds for JC and he received good support from Shavier Francis, 11 points, and Jhavian Graham 12 points.
