The two-day Jamaica National Building Society/Jamaica Public Service-sponsored Eastern Athletics Championships track and field gets started today at the National Stadium.

Twenty-two schools from the parishes of St Thomas, Portland, St Mary, as well as sections of St Catherine and St Andrew, will compete in 80 events with action scheduled to start at 9 a.m.

Defending champions Oberlin, last year's runners-up Glengoffe, Morant Bay, Buff Bay and Yallahs are the top teams while Carron Hall High are returning after a one-year absence.
