Eltham in control against Meadowbrook

Champions Eltham were in command against Meadowbrook High heading into today's second and final day of their urban area ISSA/Grace Shield Premier League semi-final round encounter at Meadowbrook.

Batting first, Eltham posted 343 with captain and vice-captain, Kieno-Paul Sailsman and Joseph Dennie, getting 110 and 115, respectively. National youth pacer Jermaine Cole 4-86 and Raymond Thompson 3-61 took most wickets.

Meadowbrook, who recently captured the A League title, in reply, closed the day on 62-2.

In other games, Innswood, Excelsior and St Catherine were in control of their fixtures.

At Tarrant: Tarrant 96 (Odane McKenzie 21, Jermaine Bennett 4-22, Peat Salmon 3-8) and 37-5 (Dwain Pusey 3-15). Innswood 302-7 declared (Salmon 109, Kemar Foster 44; Oraine Williams 40; Matthew Grandstand 4-59).

At Excelsior: Excelsior 386-6 declared (Oshane Seivewright 107, Nicholas Nelson 79, Andre Allwood 74; Corey Richmond 3-92). Wolmer's 49-4 (Andre McDonald 2-15).

At Johns Road: Norman Manley 102 (Jamari Martin 42 not out; Coi Thompson 4-38) and 18-3. St Catherine 193-9 ( Jermaine Ennis 43; Kerron Edwards 4-72).
