Despite adverse weather conditions at last weekend's Championship Karting International (CKI) meet in Homestead, Florida, the Peter Moodie Jr-coached Jamaican team is gearing up for the final leg of the series which concludes next weekend.

The team will be without nine-year-old Richie Lechler, who sustained a broken thumb last weekend while contesting the Mini-Max Class.

"He will be out for at least a month," said Sammy Law, who accompanied the NG Racing team.

Though they returned home without a podium finish, Law said he was satisfied with how the youngsters delivered themselves at last weekend's meet. He believes with time they will dominate their respective classes in the CKI series.

, coach Moodie Jr said he is expecting an improved performance from Red Bull-sponsored Colin Daley (Rotax Junior Class) and teammate William Myers (Mini-Max Class).

"I believe the two are now averaging fifth or sixth in the top 10 of their respective classes," said Moodie Jr.
