Boos and Bouquets - No plastic bag with my order

Published:Sunday | April 4, 2010 | 12:00 AM

I visited the Mother's restaurant in Park Plaza in the Half-Way Tree area three Saturdays ago to buy a patty combo for my daughter.

The attendant handed me the patty and the drink without anything to put it in and I was not dining there. I asked her for a plastic bag to place my items in, and I was informed that I am not supposed to get one because I only bought one patty and a drink and I would have to purchase more items in order to receive a simple plastic bag.

I demanded my money back and she called the supervisor, who, to add insult to injury, after giving me a bag, began to complain loudly saying, "Everybody want a plastic bag. A nuh all ah unuh fi get dem. It's company policy."

If this is how they plan to cut costs, they can definitely expect to be cutting customers too because I will never buy from Mother's ever again!

Ever heard the mantra, 'the customer is always right'?

Apparently most persons who deliver customer service in Jamaica have not. So we are showing them up.

If you have had a good or bad customer service experience, share it with us, leaving nothing out, and we will publish it for you in the Outlook Magazine every fortnight. Include name of place, address and telephone numbers.
