Humble Lion coach, Christopher Bender, praised his team's battling qualities as the key reason for their 1-1 draw Rivoli United, in their Digicel Premier League football match at at Spanish Town Prison Oval yesterday.

The Clarendon team netted an equaliser two minutes from time to steal the valuable point, when Zico Herrera netted a scorching shot from 25 yards that sent his team's supporters into a frenzy.

"It is our never-say-die attitude that caused us to come back in the game. At no time did we ever believed that we would have lost," Bender said.

Rivoli took the lead in the 28th minute took from a Barrington Planter strike. Fabian Gordon made the final pass to the unmarked Planter, who beat goalkeeper Sean Sawyers with a beauty.

It appeared set to bring them all three points until Herrera's intervention and Rivoli's coach, Oneil Thomas, said his team's concentration waned and that cost them all three points.

"The players started to lose concentration late in the game. They failed to mark throughout, so they (Humble Lion) scored," said Thomas.
