Bank on fit Rajput

A big 12-race card is on at Caymanas Park tomorrow.

The Super-6 was cornered by 44 punters on Wednesday, each pocketing $39,845.50. The Pick-9, however, remains elusive and the carryover after Wednesday's meet stood at $7,168,756.14. A jackpot in excess of $10 million can be expected tomorrow.

With 12 races down to be contested, there will be two Super-6 jackpots, the first on races 1-6 and the second on races 7-12.

We will look at the first Super-6 which gets under way at 12:15 p.m. with the running of the Eddie Black Cup over 600 metres straight for maiden two-year-olds.

Trainer Tony Kirlew holds a strong hand as he will saddle three American-bred starters, the colt MISMYRTLEBOYRICHIE (Omar Walker), PRINCESS SHILOH (Robert Stewart) and LIA MY LOVE with Shane Ellis aboard. Based on exercise reports, the first two named should decide the event.

a poor crop

Race Two brings together a poor crop of four-year-old maidens over 1000 metre, straight. DE-BACHELOR gets his easiest assignment to date after eight starts and should make no mistake.

The third race on the card is a knotty high claiming event over 1600 metres. ROYAL BLAST won handsomely on a similar claiming tag last time and is now on top of his form. The one who looks likely to pull this off, however, is BIG BARGAIN, an impressive winner over 1100 metres on April 17.

SUPER-6 selections

1. PRINCESS SHILOH

2. DE-BATCHELOR/GOVNOR

3. BIG BARGAIN/ROYAL BLAST

4. DA GLITTERMAN/THAT'S MY MARKET

5. REGGAE PRINCESS

6. RAJPUT/SPECIAL CAT
