Tuesday Talk - 16-year-old victim

  • 16-year-old victim

1. There are persistent reports that a 16-year-old high school student from the east opted for the $100,000 carrot and took up arms. Seems he wanted to make life better for his mother. Now that he is gone, someone should compensate this poor woman.

  • 1990s economics

2.  People are saying Jamaica really got a raw deal for its ore. Fact is the current payments are half of what the commodity is worth on the market at this time. But that's 1990's economics for you, the rich will get richer and the poor must be content to gather the crumbs.

  • What's up with the case?

3. We are also curious to know whether the court case against the east Kingston don was ever completed. We recall the case being mentioned but we are not sure what happened after a few court appearances. By the way, he is the man who swore he could never be arrested in this country. Remember?

  • New posse

4.T here is a new uniformed posse in the cane-bearing coastal town. It would be interesting to find out who hired them to watch over the "JB" and other company assets.

  • Drunk as skunk!

5.  At the recent high-society wedding, the wife of a guest fell not once but twice after she imbibed too much. Her hubby was so inebriated, he was in no condition to help. All eyes were on her as nothing much was left to the imagination with the fall.
