JOSEPH M. MATALON was unanimously re-elected to lead the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) for a second successive term on Wednesday.

The ICD group chairman received the vote of confidence from his private-sector colleagues at the organisation's quarterly meeting of the council which was held at the PSOJ's Hope Road office in St Andrew.

Matalon was commended by council members for "his outstanding leadership" during the past year which, they noted, was challenging and demanding, not just for the organisation but for him as well.

Responding, Matalon expressed appreciation to the organisation's members for their dedication. He also recognised the very strong support which he had received from the PSOJ officers as well as the staff of the secretariat. He reiterated his commitment to realising the organisation's vision for Jamaica, which is "the place of choice to live, work, raise families and do business".

The PSOJ president urged his private-sector colleagues to remain focused on this vision as they worked resolutely to advance Jamaica's economic growth and development.
