Campbell, Bernard for JC honours

Jamaica College (JC) alumni will tonight pay tribute to two Jamaican businessmen at the association's annual dinner.

Michael Campbell, the chairman of Island Car Rentals, and Michael Bernard, managing director of cigarette distributor Carreras Group Limited are this year's recipients of the Carlton Alexander Awards, in recognition of leadership and accomplishments in their field.

The award was created in 1990, in recognition of Alexander's contribution to the high school and his larger role in society. The annual dinner is just as old.

The JC Old Boys' Association says proceeds of the dinner will go towards student welfare and sports programme.
