LONDON (AP):
Australia bowled England out for 235 to win the fifth one-day international by 42 runs at Lord's yesterday with 21 balls to spare.
England won the five-match series 3-2 - their first home ODI series win over Australia since 1997.
Shaun Tait took 4-48 and Steven Smith 2-49 for Australia, while Paul Collingwood led a rearguard action for England, making 95 from 121 balls, with two sixes and seven fours.
Australia earlier smashed 130 runs off the last 11 overs to reach 277-7. The tourists recovered from only 89-2 at the halfway mark of 25 overs to set England a challenging target.
Michael Hussey hit 79 from 60 balls, including two sixes and five fours. Shaun Marsh made 59 runs from 50 balls, with three sixes and four boundaries, while Tim Paine hit 54 from 90 balls, including four fours.
Graeme Swann was the most economical of England's bowlers with 3-32, while Stuart Broad claimed 4-64 but conceded heavily at the end of the innings.
Australia made one change to the side that beat England at The Oval on Wednesday, with Marsh replacing Michael Clarke, who was suffering from a sore back.
Having won the toss and chosen to bat, Australia struggled in the face of some aggressive England bowling and tight fielding.
They lost Shane Watson for 14 in the ninth over, caught by James Anderson at mid-on off Broad's fifth ball of the day.
Australia captain Ricky Ponting was Broad's next victim, out for 15 after a poorly judged attempt at a hook that looped straight to wicketkeeper Craig Kieswetter at the end of the 17th.
Lazy shot
Australia scored slowly and Paine reached his 50 in the 27th over.
In the next over Cameron White threw his wicket away for 20, with a lazy shot to Swann's second ball of the day that was easily caught by Michael Yardy at long off.
Paine then attempted an equally rash reverse sweep in Swann's next over, the 30th, and was bowled.
The turning point came when Australia scored 63 runs from the batting powerplay at the start of the 39th over.
Marsh finally broke the stranglehold with 32 runs from 10 balls, before he was caught at long on by Morgan off Swann, having put on 107 for the fifth wicket with Hussey.
