New boss at Air Jamaica
Howard Hall, Air Jamaica's Vice President Finance and Information Technology (IT), has also been named general manager of the airline.
He replaces Bruce R. Nobles whose contract ended June 30.
Howard Hall has served two tenures at Air Jamaica: He was chief financial officer from 2000 to 2004, and returned to the company in 2008 in his current position.
His new job as GM adds to his current portfolio, the airline said in a statement.
Nobles came on at Air Jamaica in October 2008 to position the airline for divestment. Its operations were sold last month to Caribbean airlines Limited of Trinidad.
"The entire Air Jamaica team thanks Bruce for being an excellent leader who remained steadfast in dynamic times," said chairman Dennis Lalor in the Air Jamaica statement.
Added Caribbean Airlines CEO Captain Ian Brunton: "Mr. Nobles' agile mind, entrepreneurial spirit, and his credentials in global aviation all greatly contributed to his invaluable leadership, through what has been one of the most challenging periods of the airline's history."
