Thursday talk

Hottest topics on the cocktail circuit

More to come

1. There's talk of more sealed indictments for some in high places, including at least one elected official.

Why come back?

2. The question most are asking: Did the wife return out of love, the goodness of her heart, or just to secure the inheritance?

Who will it be?

3. Well, when all the bids were unsealed, insiders were very surprised to find that there was no bid from one they thought would have been a major player. So now everyone is craning their necks to see just who the new owners of the Kingston landmark will be.

Questionable moves

4. Concern is growing that the executor has now made the position that of a full-time administrator. But what is even more perplexing to some is the fact that he is now personally taking possession of intellectual material and is now giving orders, much to the dismay of those closest to the scene.

Golden silence

5. Some are saying the wife's recent silence and general low profile is truly Golden.

Go for it!

6. Some in both parties believe early general elections should be front and centre of their party's political agenda. But for the ruling Jamaica Labour Party, those pushing that agenda are getting more strident, their mantra being: Go for it, while the going is good. They think this is as good as it will get, as there are still too many unknowns surrounding the Manatt, Phelps & Phillips/Dudus issue.

Back to her tricks

7. The uptown carry-down artist is said to be at it again. But just how much she made off with this time is still the big mystery as the 'victims' are not saying.

What a calamity!

8. They say the scene in the nightclub on the north coast was very ugly, as when the 'badman' draw-down pon the pretty young sister, the sister turned out to be a brother, and that's when all hell broke loose.
