After a strategic review of its business, RBTT Bank Jamaica Limited has decided to close three of its branches within the next six months.
The affected branches are at Fairview in Montego Bay, St James; Port Antonio, Portland; and Southfield, St Elizabeth.
"We continually fine-tune our strategy to address shifts in market demand, changes in consumer behaviour, and to improve our overall efficiency and deliver value to our clients and business partners," said Minna Israel, president and country head at RBTT.
The bank said that, moving forward, RBTT's distribution strength and customer service in Jamaica would be supported by 17 branches and 42 ATMs across the country.
"We are committed to ensuring that all our clients' accounts are relocated efficiently and in a timely manner," stated Israel. "We will continue to work with our clients through our branch network to ensure we deliver value to them."
Israel also noted that RBTT was in consultation with the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union and would honour all existing collective agreements to ensure that employees are treated fairly and with respect throughout the process.
"RBTT Bank Jamaica remains committed to our clients, employees and key stakeholders in Jamaica, as we build our long-term strategy as a willing corporate partner in the growth and development of Jamaica," said Israel.
