THE EDITOR, Sir:
I CAN see why Gyptian is now the most popular reggae musician. He has a beautiful voice and a decent character. He has a wonderful character, it appears, through his performance on Hold Yuh. He will be going places, but I fear the evil of smoking ganja and the stress of the music industry may hurt him down the road.
I hope to God those nasty habits that destroyed Bob, Peter and the rest of the 'Gong', don't enter his gates. If Gyptian upholds sound ethics and decency in his lifestyle, he will continue to thrive. Gyptian is truly an untainted Jamaican youth, a wonderful new star at dawn. Give this wonderful young Jamaican space and moments of rest, and he will continue to shine bright into the dark.
I am, etc.,
