Below are edited excerpts from comments posted by online readers to yesterday's lead story 'Betrayed - Simpson Miller says Golding caught in a web of lies, must quit'.
They all need to resign
Unfortunately, Mrs Simpson Miller and her party have no feasible answer to the ruling party's flaws. Screaming at PM Golding to step down is an old dead story. If that's the only solution to our crime and poverty problems that the Opposition can come up with, perhaps they all need to resign.

Disgraceful affair
One does not expect the entire Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Government to collapse. However, Bruce and the others should go. Give a new leader of the JLP a chance to consolidate and get ready in two years. The whole affair is disgraceful.

What's the email context?
Each passing day I feel the country is in a spin. I am not amazed by the recent publication of emails reported to link the Jamaica Labour Party to Manatt, Phelps & Phillips. And I am not sure if the People's National Party (PNP) waits for some one to do some research for them to renew their call for persons to resign.
I am not sure either if the reporter did sufficient research to verify the context of each email before making it the hot item. Jamaicans have been given the sensational over and over again while matters of greater importance go unreported.
I am calling on the Government to just get this thing over with. I am not convinced that the PNP has much integrity to lead this country forward. No better herring, no better barrel.
It's time for some real nation building. We're tired of these lame politicians and their campaigning for Jamaica House.

Defending the indefensible
It is absolutely incredible that in the face of such betrayal by the PM there are those who are still defending the issue and attacking the Opposition for taking the right stand. What would you have them do, nothing?
It must be understood even by the dumbest among us that the integrity of the Government has been compromised, thus it has no credibility locally or internationally - which has rendered it impotent.
