Jamaican sprinting superstar, Usain Bolt, kicked off his book tour in London, England, yesterday with a stop on the popular 'The One Show', which has an average viewership of 4.5 million people.
The book - Usain Bolt: My Story 9.58 - is an illustrated biography featuring the story of Bolt's Beijing Olympics experience; eight days, three gold medals, three world records, one amazing reputation firmly established.
Bolt, while in London, will pay a visit to the all radio and TV sections of the British Broadcasting Corporation on the top programmes and will pay a visit to the Olympic Stadium, where the London 2012 Summer Olympics will be held.
The 100m and 200m Olympic and World champion co-authored the book along with British journalist, Shaun Custis; and will pay a visit to The Sun's headquarters, where he will edit a few columns as part of his tour.
Although largely a media tour, Bolt will also engage the public in a two-hour signing at the Waterstone's Piccadilly facility on Thursday.
The book is over 280 pages and is complete with photographs, some of which have never been published. Harper Collins, UK, is the publisher and it will be distributed by Ian Randle Publishers in the Caribbean.
Usain Bolt: My Story 9.58 documents the early life of Bolt and takes readers into the world of the Trelawny native; his love for cricket and football, as well as his experiences growing up in rural Jamaica.
The book also gives an insight into his family life and friendships, as well as every thing that makes one of the world's most adored sporting heroes into the person he is today.
