Cybercrimes law,good move

There is so much intelligence in this country; it is such a pity that some persons use this for criminal purposes. If you are smart enough to come up with these means of defrauding persons, you are smart enough to be productive.

It is good that there are now specific laws under which the perpetrators can be charged. Good move.

I work in a bank abroad and I definitely know that this has been going on for a while. I am glad to see that Jamaica has stepped up its cybercrimes laws. They need to do the same in The Bahamas. Great article!

Name and shame guilty business places

I agree, if these people used their minds for good, instead of trying to make a quick and dishonest buck, then the island would be a better place to live! In England this was commonplace; most of the details were taken while people filled their cars with gas, and had people on the inside taking down the details then passing it on. So name and shame businesses where these crimes take place, so decent, working people can avoid them!

Customers have a right to know

Why aren't the names of the businesses where the clerks captured the customers' PINs listed in the article? This is why hypocrisy strives and transparency fails to exist in Jamaica. The media protects the businesses and not the public. Customers have a right to know where these incidents occur.

I saw a strange-looking camera at the ATM in Red Hills Mall in St Andrew.
