Shame and disgrace

The Editor, Sir:

I am writing concerning the construction in progress at the corner of Garden Boulevard and Mona Road in the Kingston 6 area.

During the heavy rains of the last few weeks it appears that the foundation that the company working on the project dug out for the construction of their new housing complex was flooded. Instead of employing some kind of truck or tank with a pumping mechanism to get rid of the water, they have instead chosen to dump hundreds of gallons of filthy water from their flooded foundation on to the street, thereby compromising the road.

The flow of water from that premises on to the street has aided in widening the many potholes on the side road, and a constantly flowing river has virtually been formed there. This is a shame and disgrace. Please do better.

I am, etc.,
