Parish finals end this week

Clarendon, Kingston, St Catherine and St Andrew, the buzz is on!

After hitting the road last week, completing most of the 14parish competitions, The Gleaner's Children's Own Spelling Bee 2010-11 parish finals will wrap up soon.

Four spelldowns will take place this week. Today at 9 a.m., spellers line up at St Gabriel's Angli-can Church hall in the Clarendon capital and, at3 p.m., the Kingston final kicks off at The Gleaner Company Limited. Tomorrow at 10 a.m., the Spanish Town Methodist Church hall in St Catherine comes alive. The final spelldown, for St Andrew, is on at 9 a.m. on Friday at The Gleaner Company Limited.

See who will join the parish champions so far this year: Lois Robinson - St Elizabeth; Jonmore Hyman - Manchester; Renica Peart - St Thomas; Rushawn Stewart - Portland; Jenelle Hinds - St Mary; Sajaey Harrison - St Ann; Nigel Phillips - Trelawny; Camara Webber - St James; Tenescia Watson - Hanover; and Justine Brooks - Westmoreland.
