With the DJ of the evening spinning tunes such as Girls All Around the World, Wall to Wall and Grenade, among others, an atmosphere filled with excitement and enthusiasm was created as a few fans, celebrities, members of the Hype Crew and members of the media gathered at Terra Nova's Pavilion.

They were there to mark the official launch of the Youth View Awards, which is scheduled to take place on February 5 at the National Indoor Sports Centre.

CEO and president of An Elegant Affair Events, Karen Clarke, who also spearheads the organisation of the awards show, expressed her delight at being a part of what will be its fourth staging.

She said the momentum the event had gathered now gives it the feel of an international awards show, and encouraged fans to come out and support their favourite artistes as they walk the red carpet.

Sponsors such as KFC, Youthlink, TVJ, Starlight, Pepsi and RETV, among others, were also on hand and expressed their delight at being involved in the staging of the event.

This year promises to be big as ZJ Bambino of Zip 103fm and his alter ego Trevor Off-key, along with Rocsi from BET's 106 and Park, will play hosts.
