Beenie Man capturesRound One

At the start of the Premier League season, SportsMax, LIME and JustBet challenged a Star panel of dancehall king Beenie Man, the Alliance general Bounty Killer, and SportsMax's vice-president of production, Lance Whittaker, to see who could predict the winners of the weekend's BPL matches on SportsMax. The first round of the BPL prediction panel ended this week with Beenie Man winning Round One by 18 pts, two predictions ahead of Lance Whittaker and a whopping five ahead of Bounty Killer.

Beenie Man credits his win to some good guesses. "Is sports for winning every day, give thanks to LIME, a just some good guesses still as I don't always get to follow the football."

As to which team he supports, Beenie says, "I did a show in Sierra Leone and auction off some Drogba boots so Chelsea is really my team still. A deh so the thing deh, because it was a youth event but the boots went for US$16,000."

The winner of the panel in each round will make a prize presentation, courtesy of BPL broadcast sponsors, LIME, to the high school of their choice. Beenie Man will therefore make a prize presentation in March, courtesy of LIME, to Bridgeport High School, the school he chose to play for.
