This week we bring to you the first in the series, 'My Style' where popular personalities will speak about their fashion sense and influences. To kick things off, we turned to one of the fashionista-divas in local entertainment, Michelle Downer.

Michelle 'D'Angel' Downer is quite the fashionable one! This should come as no surprise, though, as her life encompasses fashion. A fashion-store owner, model and entertainer, Downer knows how important appearance is at all times as, besides looking good, it is also a method of promoting her business ventures.

In describing her style, the self-proclaimed fashionista said she strives for comfort.

"I go for trendy and classy, but I have to be comfortable." As expected, she makes it her duty to keep abreast of existing fashion trends.

"I watch E! and Style channels and I also watch or attend fashion shows. I mean, I am a model, and I will never retire," she said chuckling.

Declaring herself as a "clothes and shoes person", the bubbly entertainer says she wears only designer shoes but will experiment with various brands in clothing.

"I find that designer shoes give me the right fit. But I will wear any brand in clothes. Every time I travel, I have to get clothes and shoes. I will wear one handbag every day even though I have a lot, but give me my clothes and shoes. I just think they complement each other."

Known to support local designers, Downer said her favourite designer is Neah Lis. But she also 'reps' Uzuri and Andrea Jacobs, which rounds off her top-three favourite local brands.

Ready for the spotlight, she accommodated the Flair team to capture reflections of her sense of style on camera.
