Sunday Sauce - On Jerusalem Road
Oxy Moron, Contributor
On Sundays, and on Saturdays, they rehearse the walk, the walk down Jerusalem Road in the City of God.
They are steadfast in their strides; they do not see their fallen brothers on the roadside. For in their sight is a city so bright, they are blinded by its light.
Their courtesy is lost in their hymnals and their manners are shut tight in their Bibles. Mouths too holy to tell sinners hello, yet with unseen angels they speak in tongues.
Bodies are draped in church finery; souls left bare by malice and hate.
Yet, they practise the walk, the walk down Jerusalem Road.
