AS THE lawmen continue to closely monitor the ISSA Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships, sections of the Corporate Area will be blanketed with members of the security forces today and into tonight to ensure an incident-free event.

"While we will be monitoring the students, I am appealing to the parents, guardians to check the students' bags before they leave home and ensure that they have no weapons when they are leaving the house," stressed Senior Superin-tendent Derrick 'Cowboy' Knight, head of the St Andrew Central Police Division.

The police have seized more than three dozen offensive weapons from schoolboys since Wednesday.
